Getting Started with Gunbot

Gunbot works on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Raspberry Pi. To install it on your computer, all you have to do is download and run the zip file.

Once you’ve installed Gunbot, you’ll have to connect it to your exchange by creating an exchange API.

Gunbot supports over 20 crypto exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, BitMEX, Coinbase Pro, Kraken, Huobi, and FTX.

After your exchange is connected, you will have to tell Gunbot what trading pairs you would like to trade and then select the strategy you want to use for each pair.

Gunbot can trade any asset or market supported by your exchange, and both margin trading and trading fees will also depend on your respective exchange.

Once you’ve selected your trading pairs and trading strategies, Gunbot will start running, and all your trades will automatically be executed according to their corresponding strategies.

Gunbot comes with a beautiful built-in browser interface you can access on your local machine or via the internet.

From the interface, you can easily manage your trading strategies, assign them to trading pairs, make changes on the fly, and view your trade history and wallet balance.

You can also view detailed charts built with the data Gunbot collects from the exchange, see charts and graphs of your PnL analysis, and even place manual orders directly from the Gunbot interface.

Gunbot has several pre-configured strategies that are ready to use after making minimal configurations like position size, so they can be user-friendly even to novice traders.

Every trading strategy can use a number of protections like custom gain and stop-limit values, limiting the number of sell orders before trading is halted, or preventing buy orders above the last sell rate to protect against buying in surging markets.

Gunbot has 20+ pre-configured complex trading bots for reversal trading, dollar-cost averaging, and plenty more, offering considerably more than other automated crypto trading platforms like TradeSanta that only include a few trading methods.

Some of the trading strategy presets Gunbot includes are a Liquidity Provider bot, Step Gain bot, Ping Pong bot, EMA Spread bot, and SMA Cross bot, but there are over a dozen other trading bots that will be worth checking out.

You can also use a set of confirming indicators for each strategy to specify the conditions you want to be met for any trade, so even the strategy presets are somewhat customizable.

To create your own strategy, you’ll need to know how to code in Javascript, but then all you’ll have to do is define your conditions in its code editor.

You can also create an unlimited number of custom strategies for unlimited trades and use NPM modules in your code. 

Although the preset strategies will be easier to implement, custom strategies allow you to use any technical analysis indicator you want and further define every parameter to make incredibly specific triggers.

Gunbot Integrations/Add-ons

Some of the best features of the Gunbot platform are the various integrations and add-ons it provides.

The first one, the telegram integration, will allow you to track your profits, monitor your trades, and even modify your settings on the go straight from telegram.

The next add-on is for backtesting through TradingView. As long as TradingView supports the exchange your trade on, you can backtest almost all strategy parameters available on Gunbot.

The final add-on is for TradingView and makes Gunbot execute trading alerts sent from tradingview.com.

All these integrations and add-ons will depend on the Gunbot plan you choose, but the backtesting and TradingView add-ons can be purchased separately, which we’ll touch on right below.

Gunbot Pricing & Plans

Like many crypto trading bot platforms, Gunbot has several plans offering different features.

At the moment, there are four plans Gunbot offers: Gunbot One, Gunbot Standard, Gunbot Pro, and Gunbot Ultimate.

All plans include a lifetime license with no recurring costs, and the prices are listed in BTC. Payment for plans is also possible with 300+ altcoins, stablecoins, and PayPal.

The entry plan (Gunbot One) is 0.0005BTC ($9.99) and includes spot trading for one exchange, one trading pair, one strategy (stepGrid), and access to the Telegram community.

The Standard plan is 0.014 BTC and includes everything in the Gunbot plan plus futures trading, unlimited trading pairs, all strategies, AutoConfig, 500 Gunthy tokens, the Gunbot school, and chat and email support.

The Pro plan is 0.025 BTC and includes everything in the previous two plans in addition to a total of three supported exchanges, a backtesting add-on, and 750 Gunthy tokens.

The final tier, the Ultimate plan, includes everything listed up to this point and support for all exchanges, custom JS strategies, a mobile app, a TradingView add-on, and 2,500 Gunthy tokens.

If you don’t want to commit to one of the higher-tier plans, but like the backtesting or TradingView add-ons, you can also purchase them separately for 0.0018 BTC and 0.003 BTC, respectively.

Although Gunbot has a wide range of strategy presets that make automated strategies relatively simple to implement, the platform may still be confusing to use for less seasoned traders.

That said, Gunbot is more user-friendly than a major competitor like HaasBot, but it provides nearly all the same capabilities, so it is absolutely a top contender among advanced crypto trading bot platforms.

If you are a trader familiar with crypto trading bots or creating trading strategies, Gunbot is an amazing, easy-to-use option with just about every feature you would want and only has a one-time cost, which is another significant advantage over HaasBot.

However, HaasBot’s customizable strategies will be a bit easier to create with its drag-and-drop visual designer, but if you know how to code, either platform will work just fine for you.

For traders just getting started with trading bots or automated strategies, we recommend checking out Pionex instead, as it’s free and exceptionally user-friendly.

If you find that you enjoy automated strategies or they work well with your trading style, then moving up to a more advanced platform like Gunbot would be recommended.

And just to reiterate, this is not because Gunbot isn’t user-friendly, because it certainly is for what it does, but it’s by no means a crypto trading platform most people should start with.

However, between the numerous strategy presets you can configure to your liking, the limitless custom strategies, and all the special integration/add-ons Gunbot has, it would be hard to find a better professional-grade automated trading platform.

For these reasons, we would highly recommend Gunbot to advanced traders who know how to code and even recommend it to relatively experienced traders interested in one of the many strategy presets.

Gunbot is far from an entry-level platform, but it is without a doubt one of the best high-level automated trading services you’ll find in the world of crypto.
